Today I am talking about how to get rid of sty on your eyelid fast. I’m basically going to start out by telling you what a STYE is and then you’ll kind of realize why you want to get rid of it pretty quickly.
WHAT IS A STYE?
A sty is basically a buildup of oils and bacteria that are in your meibomian glands in your eyelids. It’s like having a pimple on your eyelid.
These oils and bacteria they built up in your meibomian glands and they can get clogged just like a pore or a gland and your skin can get clogged and you end up with this huge pimple on your eyelid that’s red and swollen and painful.
Some of the things that you’ll notice if you have a sty, you may have :
- A little bit of a swollen eyelid
- It might be red over the area
- A little bit of purse drainage or crustiness on your eyelashes around that area.
Those are some of the things that you’ll notice when you have a sty. You may sometimes notice that your eyelid hurts.
Those are also part of the symptoms.
REASONS YOU DONT WANT TO HAVE STYE ON YOUR EYELID
Stye is something you don’t want to experience and you do want to get rid of it as quickly as possible for the various reasons:-
- It’s unsightly to have a stye.
- You know its something that is visible and people can see it on your eyelid a lot of the time and it’s just not something that you want to have on your eyelid walking around.
- It can also become an infection that spreads, and you can end up with an infection of your entire eyelid which is absolutely harder to treat and more dangerous for you.
HOW TO GET RID OF STYE QUICKLY AND NATURALLY
WARM COMPRESSES :
One of the best home and natural remedies for stye is warm compress as you can see on the picture above. This is because the heat is going to boost up circulation in the affected area which will help to facilitate the rupture and the drainage of the purse from the stye.
In addition, i twill reduce the stye symptoms which happens to be PAIN and SWOLLEN.
You can do this with warm water using a washcloth but it’s much easier if you have a dry eye mask.
There are actually a lot of dry eye masks out there that you can try and there are also ones that you can put in the microwave for normally about 20 seconds or so on high.
I always recommend testing the temperature on the inside of your wrist to make sure it’s not too hot.
Because you don’t want to burn yourself. Of course, that’s not the point here. You want the whole thing to be comfortable for your eyelids.
HOW TO DO THIS :
What you do is just close your eyelids and put your mask on and let it for 10 to 20 minutes or whatever you’re comfortable with. What will happen is, the heat will get in there and help to dissolve those compacted oils that are in your meibomian glands.
It can also help to drain that sty which is what we’re going for. The same will help with a pimple on your skin. Heat is really going to help to melt those oils.
Green tea is naturally good in anti-inflammatory, which is going to reduce pains and inflammation in the affected area and will also diminish stye.
It also contains tannic acid which is very good at keeping stye infection down, and the variety of nutrients and antioxidant properties contains in it contributes to the healing of stye.
Due to its anti-inflammatory properties, coriander seed is a very good home treatment for sties.
It helps reduce redness, swelling, and pains which makes you feel much better within a few days.
Turmeric contains an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory property which helps to get rid of stye quickly. In addition, it reduces inflammation and any form of an infection-causing element which actually contributes to the condition.
Guava leaves are considered a good home remedies for sties due to their natural healing powers. The leaves possess good anti-inflammatory properties which eliminate the redness and swelling of the affected eyelid area.
They work as a pain reliever and a skin-irritating reliever which makes them a good home remedy for stye. It can also prevent the spread of eye infection due to its anti-bacterial qualities.
Castor oil has ricinoleic acid. This acid serves as an anti-inflammatory agent. This is why it helps reduce pain and inflammation so effectively.

EYELID HYGIENE :
The last thing I want to recommend you to do is to make sure that your eyelid hygiene is right on point.
So, I will recommend you use a hypochlorous acid cleanser which is super gentle, it’s natural and it’s made for your body to fight bacteria and things like that.
A hypochlorous acid cleanser is really what we recommend because we like our heyedrate lid and lash cleanser but you can use any of them that are available on the market at the moment.
HOW TO DO THIS :
In this process, all you have to do is close your eyes spray the cleanser on and rub it and let it dry. The process is as simple as that.
When you have an active stye, then you can use it up to four (4) times a day but I will advise you to be using it at least twice a day even when you don’t have a sty because it’s gonna help prevent you from getting a stye in the future.
So, above are really the two main things that you should do or be doing to get rid of a stye really quickly as well as prevent your eyelid from catching sty and if you do these things well enough, for early sty, it will be gone within a week.
If your stye is getting worse or it’s not getting better by doing these things, we always recommend that you may need something more in this case.
So, we advise you to see your eye doctor for that. If your case is not responding to the above-mentioned methods.
I hope this was helpful if you have something to share or a question to ask, please feel free to leave a comment I will be glad to get back to you.
