Summers are hot in the Mediterranean so I have been looking for something slightly less suffocating than my usual occlusive creams since moisturizing and oil are a daily requirement for my skincare regimen and somehow through a friend, I got the I’m From Vitamin Tree Mask Water Gel. And it caught my attention so much and so I decided to write this I’M FROM VITAMIN TREE MASK WATER GEL REVIEW.

First of all, the brand I’m From is a sister company to (Skin & Lab) and Chica Y Chico both based in South Korea. However, my first experience with this brand was their HONEY MASK which has today become one of my favorite rinse off mask.

But the I’m From Vitamin Tree Water Gel is a cream type product produced for oily skin types. The gel rapidly absorbs into the skin, and the cooling sensation quickly calms redness. Again, it’s whitening function helps to transform the skin to appear brighter and clearer for a radiant look.

The gel contains the various most important and very powerful ingredients such as:-

Vitamin Leaves:

Gotten from the pure nature of the staebaek mountain and rich in:-

  • Vitamin C,
  • Protein,
  • Fat,
  • Various Amino Acid and
  • Minerals.

It is also rich in calcium which helps protect the skin from outer aggressors. The Vitamin leaves also have richer Catechin than the green tea which makes it a very strong antioxidant.

Vitamin Berries:

Also gotten from the pure nature of the staebaek mountains. Vitamin berries are a collection of nutrients like various Vitamins, Essential Amino Acid, Mineral, Iron, Zinc, Flavonoid, Beta Carotene, and Organic Acid.

It also contains 72.39% Vitamin Tea Leaf and 27.61% Vitamin Nutrition Boosters such as: –

  • Sea Berries:
  • Witch Hazel Leaf:
  • Portulaca Oleracea:
  • Rose of Jericho
  • Snow Lotus
  • Allantoin
  • Cloudberry

In addition to that, it also has three (3) environmental plants that strengthen the skin.

And these are: –

  • Snow Lotus: Immortal flower, grows in snow reserve rich moisture.
  • Cloudberry: Arctic plant, survives below 40°c, Nourishing / Vitamin-rich.
  • Rose of Jericho: Resurrection plant, survives in moisture lacking environment, balances the moisture level of the skin.

According to claims from the (I’m From) brand, the Gel certainly adds perfect hydration to the skin. And with a few drops of jojoba oil or the Klair’s Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop, the gel works well for my skin at the moment. It has so helped balance my skin tone to the point where I don’t need any other products added to my skin.

About The Ingredients

Usually, the first ingredient always makes up 70% of the ingredient list but with different forms of the same ingredient making an appearance twice more. The other ingredient makes up 30%. So, these won’t have a great role to play in this gel.

When I looked at the list of ingredients, I found nothing of concern, but then I found that the dominant ingredient has chemical exfoliation effects so it may not be ideal for daytime wear. Unless you put on sunscreen after application.

I have worn this indoors during the day without any issues, but I obviously have issues when I would go outdoors with it as seen in the performance section until I put on sunscreen.

Seaberry also is known as (Hippophae Rhamnoides) is an antioxidant that contains malic & acetic acids altogether which provides this product with astringent & chemical exfoliating benefits. It is rich in fatty acids & Vitamin C.

Glycerin is a naturally occurring substance that helps repair the outer skin barrier. This ingredient softens the skin so tha other ingredients can penetrate the skin easily.

Sodium Hyaluronate:

Sodium Hyaluronate is the most bioavailable form of hyaluronic acid, which is considered as a super ingredient for its water attracting & binding abilities.

Vitamin B5 that acts as a Humectant for attracting & holding moisture in the skin.

Licorice Extract:

This is an antioxidant that helps to even out our skin tone & reduces inflammation.

Portulaca Oleracea:

This I an antioxidant and has skin-soothing properties, though some skin dryness were noticed in trials of the gel.

Witch Hazel:

Witch Hazel is an antioxidant & anti-inflammatory, even though it has some high levels of tannin which may cause some skin sensitivity issues.

The Safety Level

After a thorough moisture test, it was confirmed that the gel has a higher moisture level, less oil and offers better softness to the skin and so it is recommended for:-

  • Dark, Uneven Toned Skin,
  • Oily & Shiny Skinned,
  • Dehydrated Skinned,
  • Sun Damaged, Hot Tempered Skinned,
  • Extremely Sensitive Skinned,
  • For Who Wants Vital & Bright Skin Tone.

Packaging and Texture

The Gel comes in a 75g thick glass jar container. It has a black cap with a plastic spatula. The texture of the gel is lovely! Based on my memory from the previous formula, the water gel had more water like consistency were upon application, the gel would instantly transform from a gel to water on the skin. Whereby becoming runny and liquid like.

But with the new formula, I feel the texture holds better upon application and slowly liquefies on the skin and at the same time, moisturizes the skin. The Gel is soft, non-sticky, light-weight and very watery.

A Non-Sticky Watery Cream Full of Moisture and Best for Normal and Oily Skin.

Application & Result

In fact, when I apply the cream on face, it smoothly glides over my skin. It also absorbed in seconds and also leaves a layer of hydration with moisture on my skin. It leaves my skin with zero oily and shiny finish which makes it good for those with naturally oily skin type.

However, if you have dry skin, you will need to add a few drops of your favorite facial oil to this gel-like cream to add the moisture you need.

I recommend this cream to you because it spreads so easily, it is zero sticky, it’s fast-absorbing and zero oily finish (like I mentioned above).

 What A Perfect Daily Moisturizer.

How to use:

  • Apply it all over your face and neck as a moisturizer.
  • If you are to use it during the day, apply sunscreen after application.
  • You can also apply a thicker layer at night to act as a sleeping mask for a deeper hydrating effect to the skin.
  • If you have dry skin, you will have to consider adding a few drops of jojoba oil to it for the best result.

What I Like About This Product

One thing I enjoy about this product is the fact that the company, (I’m From) actually list out the origin & farm name from where the ingredients were harvested. What height of transparency.

What I Don’t Like About This Product

After testing the gel, I found out that it is not very good for dry skin type. Rather, makes dry skin dryer and tighter due to its whitening effect.

So, for this reason, anyone with dry skin type who desires to use this gel will have to add a few drops of jojoba oil or the Klair’s Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop for optimal result. Also claims, no fragrance but has minimal fragrance though.

  1. This looks like a wonderfully cooling face gel, and good to see that it’s made of natural ingredients! I’m looking for great face products for the summer, and this seems to check all the boxes :).

  2. Thank you for this review. I was not sure if this product is worth buying but after reading your review I will definitely give it a try. The price is more than fine and I like the fact that this product contains Snow Lotus, Cloudberry and Rose of Jericho.
This makes it more than just any other average beatuy product.
