I got this product from Wishtrend for the purpose of reviewing it on my site for my audience and is my first time testing out this cream – though I’ve heard a lot of people talk about it. So, after testing it for like two weeks, I wanted to come out with this review but I got hooked up a few stuff to handle and so I ended up using for slightly over two months which even makes it best for the review. So, just hang on tight let’s find out all about this product in this Klair’s Rich Moist Soothing Cream review.

An Overview

The Klair’s Rich Moist Soothing Cream is a product by the WishTrend team and it is a product that claims to be an all year long moisturizer made with the purpose of taking care of sensitive skin all through the season. Klair’s claims that it effectively restores and balances the hydration in order to stabilize the skin. It also takes down the body temperature to reduce redness and the appearance of pores.

Could this claims be true? Let’s find out.

After trying out the product, I noticed something. I noticed that it contains well enough concentrated formula that provides long term moisture that will give your skin a more radiant and hydrated complexion. I also noticed that it works deep within the skin whereby providing the required soothing and moisture for the skin. The fact that it is infused with yeast-derived beta-glucan makes it good enough for supporting the skin’s natural barrier and defense system.

It is super soothing and not sticky or annoyingly thick, it absorbs quite fast but leaves you feeling good and moisturized. I always use it in the morning after cleansing, I feel fresh and my neck appreciates the attention. When my sister also tried the product I noticed that when it comes to makeup, the application goes smoothly, and it gives a healthy glow underneath, but not oily during the day. For those of you who have sensitive skin, oily skin or acne, I assure you this will be helpful.

If you take a minute to read the product description, you won’t be disappointed, I personally am oily on my T-zone and it hasn’t made it worse or provoked any pimples or bumps! (And always remember, not because your skin is oily it means you shouldn’t moisturize!) As I need a bit more moisture than the average person, I always worry about how products will work underneath makeup, but this actually does the job really well.

It does need a couple of minutes to be completely unnoticeable to the touch, but it doesn’t cause my foundation to slide around my face which is a huge bonus. If you are less dry than me, this may leave a bit more of a residue on your skin, but it also works perfectly as a night cream.

One thing I love about this cream is the fact that it comes in very simple packaging. It comes in a very cute cardboard box. With a beautiful tube that looks clean and straight up to the point. Of course, I don’t think skincare product packages do necessarily need to be that luxurious. I like it as simple as that because most beauty products with very beautiful packaging are just to hike the price, it is better when the product speak for itself. And this product does just that.

On the back of the box, it has Korean and English writing which tells you what are the ingredients in here, they also have English instructions on when you can use it and a cream side which writes in the Korean language. Of course, this doesn’t mean it’s only for Koreans. NO! It’s made for all. Korea is just where the brand was born.

It is not a light texture it’s actually on the rich side and I would say that it’s a very firm and just rich texture and with its mild formula it doesn’t irritate your skin nor does it cost breakouts which I think it’s very important to look at when you find a moisturizer. It doesn’t feel heavy when you apply it, but rather it feels rich, thick, cooling and gentle and it sinks really deep into the skin.

The scent is almost like there’s no scent at all, that is to say, the scent is so subtle and light to the extent that it is pretty much impossible that it will offend anyone. It has a tiny bit of muted, fresh, lemon fragrance, but not so easily noticeable, in fact, you honestly have to try hard to even notice it. I really love it and enjoy like that because I don’t really feel very comfortable with overpowering perfumed products. Upon application, within seconds, even the trace of scent disappears.

How To Use

All you need to is apply an adequate amount of the cream on the palm of your hand and gently spread it all over your face. Rub well until it is completely absorbed into your skin.

NB: Going by the Korean skincare routine, it can really be confusing to know which one to use first and which to use second. In the general nutshell, it is advisable in this case that you do a tiny formula first, as it absorbs quickly, you now follow with your thicker formula such as Creams, Sleeping Mask and all that.

This simple idea is because thicker formulas take long to absorb and in some cases, can even stay on the skin long enough for you to get to the office. Meanwhile, thinner formulas don’t. They disappear in thin air and won’t stay the night.

I hope this helps!!!

My Experience With The Product

When I used it on my face, my face was actually really soft. That is a pro about this product, it really made my skin very soft and since I had a lot of dry patches around my nose, it cured it in my two days of application which was amazing. I always do multiple testing on any product I want to review and get enough facts before diving into my review. My sister also tried the product once during the day when had her makeup on and it wasn’t as bad either her makeup did stay on for a long time so I did like that aspect of the product as well.

But something happened and I stopped using the product. I stop using it because at a point it made my skin itchy. It made my forehead itching, I had a lot of irritations. I also had acne breakouts and bumps here and there. I thought they were as a result of early-stage of using the product but it got worse as I continued. So, I continued, what happens was that the itchiness on my forehead cleared up but I still had pimples, so I changed to my usual moisturizer and they all cleared up in a short space of time.

My skin got calm but I had a few breakouts here and there, but it’s healing right now. I was worried and I tried to figure out the reason it reacted that way to my skin, and one day I took the box and realize I did not go through the instruction which is what most users fail to do. On the box it says cautions:

  • For external use only
  • Do not apply on broken skin
  • Stop using if skin becomes red swollen and or itchy after use.

That was what happened to my skin. I used it on broken skin and ended up with an unexpected result. But then I must say this, remember our mileage differ, while it worked or did not work for me, it may or may not work for you as well. But don’t forget to go through the instruction on the package, I always advise.

About The Ingredients

I always make it clear to my audience that I am not an expert when it comes to skincare, but I trust my research before putting out any content so I will advise you to always check on the ingredient list yourself before you conclude. Talking about the ingredients, one thing I love about it so much is the fact that it is cruelty-free. Klair’s has a policy of introducing very harsh free ingredients in their products which is a plus for me.

It is also Vegan-friendly which is good. Though the product is more concern about hydration, it is also good for all skin type. It contains Shea butter and jojoba oil which are hydrating agents, it also contains ceramide 3 which helps to retain moisture and sooth the skin. Although your skin already produces ceramide, this is meant to top up.

1. Reacted in a few negative ways on my sensitive skin. Which was because I did not follow the instruction.

I would give this product a 5 out of 10 because this product did hydrate my skin and it did get rid of the dry patches I had. But it also reacted negatively on me and I wasn’t happy about that though it was my fault, I just have to say it. So, I would recommend it for any skin type but I must advise here, first, follow the instruction on the package. Nex, first test the product on your inner wrist before introducing it into your routine. I also recommend this product because it’s very tiny and very convenient when you’re on the go, otherwise, if you are looking for cruelty makeup, please click here to check out the Klear’s line.

They have some very great products as well, they have like their BB cream that is super good, they also have some other skincare stuff that I’ve heard from other people that was very good. Price-wise, nothing bad to say, the cost is just $24.50 which I think for me is a tiny bit on the expensive side compared to other drugstore options. I do have to admit that the amount that came in the bottle seems a tiny bit empty. I’m not super bothered about this but if we have to be honest I got the Bag of Lays vibe from this.
