It’s important to become a very educated consumer. Today I am going to be talking about how to apply vitamins to the skin and probably some vitamin C skincare benefits so that you know what vitamin you’re applying to the skin, what the concentration of the product is, and how it works.
Vitamins come in different effects according to its name and you’ll also notice in vitamins especially in skincare products you’ll see different kinds of vitamins such as A, C, E and I, and the list just goes on but I will be laying more emphasis on vitamin C.
However, this article isn’t just about skincare products and vitamins, it’s also talking about the physical effects when we take vitamins inside our bodies.
What Are Vitamins?
Let’s first look at the definition of a vitamin. Vitamins are essential nutrients to regulate the physiological functions, it’s actually an essential requirement for our metabolic circle.
Vitamins are essential to our body and skin so actually, if we don’t have vitamins in our body, it can actually cause adverse effects to our skin. It is very important to apply vitamins in the evening, they are natural antioxidants. Vitamin C is the single largest water-soluble antioxidant in the skin and it’s the skins natural protection to ultraviolet damage.
Meanwhile, vitamin A and vitamin E are two of the most important lipid-soluble antioxidants in the skin and which help fight those free radicals that have been created by that Sun-damaged maybe by smoking. So the deficiency of either vitamin can increase the damage of your skin as well as skin cancer.

It’s also important to take vitamins physically as food but if you actually put vitamins on your skin, the effects of vitamins on your skin are likely to increase 40 times, so why wouldn’t you put it on your skin.
Vitamin C is also known as L acerbic acid. It’s a water-soluble vitamin that is presented in certain types of foods and of course, also provided in a dietary supplement.
Benefits Of Vitamin C To The Skin and The Body
Vitamin C is known for its immune-boosting benefits but, did you know that it has many other amazing health benefits?
When we get enough in our diets, vitamin C helps to detoxify our bodies, promotes healing of all of our cells, and allows us to better deal with stress. It also supports the good bacteria in our gut, destroys harmful bacteria and viruses, removes heavy metals, and protects us from pollution. So, unless you can eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, you may need to take a dietary supplement of vitamin C to gain all the benefits.

Vitamin C is best for use during the day because of its actions. Like mentioned before, it’s actually an antioxidant which is going to help shield against free radical damage. Free radicals cause cellular damage to the skin which means the skin’s not going to be functioning the way it should be.
It’s also going to speed up the aging process. Vitamin C is also a tyrosinase inhibitor which means that it’s going to make sure our melanocytes are not overproducing pigment when we’re going out into the Sun.
Using this topically on the skin during the day is really important because that’s when we’re going out and doing our daily activities.
Vitamin C also interacts with our fiber blasts to make sure that the collagen is nice and it’s also alongside with vitamin A, can reverse the science of Aging now I also love how vitamin C works with our capillaries and oxygen in the skin.
It actually helps to strengthen the capillary walls in sensitive skin or skin that is getting capillary damage. Capillaries are really good at constructing but, they’re not so great at restricting.
If the capillaries are quite weak, vitamin C if used topically, it’s going to help strengthen the capillary walls, that way they are able to restrict.
When it comes to using vitamin C, it’s really important to understand how strong that vitamin C is, there are so many on the market today so what I do suggest is whenever you are looking at getting one for yourself, check how strong the vitamin C is because if it’s not that strong, it’s not going to give you the results that I’m talking about here.
It’s also really important for you guys to know that vitamin C is quite a strong vitamin and it’s really important that your skin’s barrier is intact. What can happen if it’s not, it can be a bit too stimulating for the skin and cause a bit of a reaction.
Antioxidants and vitamins need to be applied in the evening. One of the other things you’ll find is that vitamins come in serums, they come in lotions and they come in creams. I want you to determine whether it’s a serum, a lotion or cream.
It’s important that if it is a serum, it would be applied first if it’s a cream, obviously, it would be applied second and what does that mean?
That means that you can apply more than one vitamin to the skin even in the evening. This happens to be a vitamin C serum. Ultraviolet rays and air actually oxidize vitamins that we apply to the skin.
If you notice with the vitamin C serum, it’s actually in an airless pump. So, it protects the vitamin preparation from the air in the light. It’s important if you have other vitamin products such as the rejuvenating retinol cream, that Rx systems PF produce, that when you use it, take the lid off, take what you need, apply to the skin and immediately apply the lid so that you help prevent that oxidation.
It’s important when you use the antioxidants to the skin, after you have applied them, you wait two or three minutes and then apply some hydrating moisturizer.
So, using vitamin C, maybe incorporating it in once you know you are on a good routine, you can start off by a few times a week and then you can start incorporating it every day once your skin can handle it, it will really depend.
